In July 193 CE, Lu Bu fails to assassinate Dong Zhuo and then holes up in Bing Province. Meanwhile, Yuan Shu abandons his invasion of Jing Province and focuses his efforts on Huainan. Sun Jian follows in the path of Yuan Shu, escaping his fated demise in Jing. Thus begins the age of rival warlords clashing against one another in the battle for supremacy.
