The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026 and the Zelda 40th Anniversary hardware is launching October 29!
Pre-orders for both the console and controller have been selling out fast, but we expect Nintendo will continue to replenish stock over the next few months and into the new year.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
$10 off at Amazon/Walmart
Pre-order Zelda: Ocarina of Time at Amazon or Walmart and get $10 off (plus lock in the limited edition textured foil cover art!)
With launch less than two weeks out, that discount won't last. We've seen this $10 discount on Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Orbitals, Star Fox, and other physical Nintendo first party games, and the pre-order prices consistently snap back to MSRP on or before release day. If you plan to buy at launch, lock your pre-order in now.
Pro tip: in March 2026, Nintendo announced new pricing for Switch 2 games, making the digital price $10 less than physical. Walmart and Amazon have been price matching the physical releases down to the digital price for pre-orders. Take advantage of these deals while you can!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Playable and Electric Ocarina
Also keep an eye out for two ocarinas later this year: a playable version for the musically inclined and an electric version from HORI that plays notes or entire songs at the press of a button. In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, play (or simply hum) one of Link’s learned ocarina melodies within range of the Switch 2 system’s built-in microphone, and he’ll perform the song in the game!
Pre-orders for the electric Ocarina have sold out on the Nintendo Store and directly from HORI, so keep an eye on those pages for them to go back in stock.
