Once upon a time, in a world not quite like our own, Liddell tumbled down the rabbit hole and found herself in a vivid and wondrous land where nothing was quite as it seems. There she encounters a mysterious pink cat named CéCe who accompanies her into the flowery White Willow. Adventure awaits her in the Labyrinth, and the Queen of Hearts anticipates her arrival.

Evade attacks with a graceful Twirl and obtain new abilities from Treasure Chests in order to reach the depths of the Labyrinths. No two Labyrinths are the same when the terrain and treasures shift with each venture.

(Control bindings can be remapped in game for both keyboard and controller.)

Twirl (C by default: Liddell performs a spinning pirouette that is able to evade attacks. This move can be performed during attacks.

Sprint (Keep C held down after a Twirl): Liddell enters a run state that is faster than her usual walk speed.

Power Cut (Keep Z held down after an attack): Strength is concentrated into a single attack with more range and damage. Charge is lost upon getting hit.

Use Item (X by default): Magic Points (MP) are used to perform a special attack with Liddell's current item. Use left swap and right swap (S and D by default) to switch between collected items.

Guard Crush: Using a Power Cut or an Item against a shielded enemy will dispel their protection and leave them vulnerable to melee Attacks.

Each Treasure Chest in the Labyrinth offers 3 random items to choose between. These items offer unique abilities to obtain such as passive effects and ranged special attacks from Suit Cards. Each Suit Card comes in a pack of 5 and they expend 1 bar of MP upon use. MP can be restored by dealing melee damage to enemies.

Items are lost upon defeat although certain Mementos can be reobtained by finding a Dream Journal within the second to last sublevel of a Labyrinth. Exploration items such as the Map and Compass are also kept after defeat.

Within the Settings Menu of the Main Menu is a unique feature that applies a palette of 4 colors onto the game to freshen up each playthrough. Choose between 19 different color palettes, including 4 iconic retro palettes. Along with this is an alternative 8-bit classic soundtrack to complement the pixel aesthetic.
