TEMPORARY - Update on game development
I'm sorry to say that I have some VERY important exams this year. I try to develop as much as possible in my free time, but this makes development time very random and therefore I have no clue when the game will be ready to launch. I don't want to rush it either, but I promise that I will attempt to finish it by February/March. Trying to finish the cutscenes at this time so I can create the trailer. Thank you all for waiting! I hope you're as excited as I am!

!SPOILERS!
After you get past the intro, you go to sleep and you only wake up when a loud noise is heard from somewhere inside the house. After a little investigating, you get trapped upstairs and the rest of your family gets trapped downstairs... with a merciless killer. From there on, you must help them as much as possible by calling the police, distracting the criminal and by getting them all in the basement, the single room they can actually lock.
How and why it was made
After failing to take part in an official game jam, me and my brother decided to compete for 20 dollars. Our mother gave us the theme "Volcano" and he had to make a drawing, while I had to make a game about it. The way the theme is related to this project can be seen in the fourth, cannon ending (which I don't want to spoil). Either way, I knew that adding many mechanics in very little time wasn't my strong dev skill at the time so I decided to make a decision based game (I'm not sure if this made things easier). After the competition I said that I wanted to polish the final project before releasing it, but after making a new GDD, I might have gone a bit too far (I almost remade the whole game). Well, I hope you'll enjoy it! And I hope the extra effort was worth!
