About the Game

Climb on board for the ultimate journey in Train Sim World, as Alan Thomson Simulation brings to life the highly anticipated London King’s Cross - Peterborough! Embark on long-distance LNER Azuma services from the heart of the Capital, and work the busy commuter corridor of Thameslink & Great Northern, all along the southern stretch of the East Coast Main Line.

Needing little introduction, the ECML was born of 3 railway companies with one express goal, to link London and Edinburgh. Of those 3, the Great Northern Railway had the task of constructing the line north out of London and as far as Doncaster, and to say they were ultimately successful would be an understatement. Today, the ECML is known as an ultra-busy and vital link between England and Scotland, and has been notable in history for record-breaking runs and steadfast innovation.

In Train Sim World, shunt out of Bounds Green depot and zoom through life in the fast lane on LNER expresses between London, Stevenage and Peterborough. The impressive arches and concourse of King’s Cross punctuate your fast-paced arrival into the capital, with the complex and busy station featuring its latest track remodelling and speed increases. Amidst the hustle and bustle, take charge of the commuter scene with Great Northern, calling at principal stations throughout the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire countryside.

A duet of modern electric traction makes the rails of the iconic ECML sing; the LNER BR Class 801 and Great Northern BR Class 387. Combined, the pair offer a contemporary modern scene along the ever-evolving Race to the North. Take-on more traction with timetable layers, including Thameslink Class 700s, or step back in time with classic electric tours with the Class 90, or even the world-famous Flying Scotsman! A full symphony of services await.
