The Withered is a first-person zombie survival horror focused on tension, stealth, and desperate close-quarters combat.

There is no escape. No rescue coming.
Just you… and an entire region crawling with zombies that can smell, hear, and hunt you.

Development Notes

The Withered has been in development for just about a month, and the first public demo is already on the way. This demo will showcase the core atmosphere, zombie behavior, exploration, and the foundations of the survival system.

The full game is planned to release in Early Access in the first half of 2026. Development will continue openly and transparently, with regular devlogs, new builds, features, and improvements released step by step.

The development of The Withered is divided into four phases, and I’m currently finishing the first one - the core survival mechanics. The next phases will gradually expand the game with a clothing system, basic crafting, cooking, electricity and generators, vehicles, farming, an RPG progression system, diseases and injuries, a full weather system, new weapons, and much more.
