The Weather Gage is a single-player naval simulation set during the Age of Sail, in the time of Horatio Nelson and Napoleon. The player embarks on a career as a navy officer, commanding a single sailing warship to capture or destroy enemy warships and merchant vessels.

• Realistic, physics-based sailing , simulating true forces acting on sails, hull, rudder, anchor, and boats.

Set between 1793 and 1815 , the simulation is inspired by historic naval conflicts—including the French Revolutionary Wars, Napoleonic Wars, and the War of 1812 —with a strong focus on historical authenticity and single-ship actions featuring frigates and smaller vessels.

Drawing inspiration from historical naval figures such as Thomas Cochrane , as well as celebrated fiction like the Aubrey-Maturin novels, Hornblower, and Master & Commander , the game captures the spirit of maritime warfare with rich historical detail.
