Description
Welcome to the Pyre Sector
After a devastating ambush, you are the only surviving ship Captain. Make your way through a new frontier filled with rival factions, space anomalies, and potential riches. Rebuild your ship, forge alliances, and track down your ambushers across several star systems and dozens of planets.
Tactical Combat
Whether fighting amongst hostile fleets in the campaign or dogfighting rival players, Last Captain is not your typical space shooter. Between the physics, weapon types, special equipment, and large-scale battles, you must utilize your strengths to defeat your enemies. Curve missiles, destroy cover, deploy point defense satellites, hide in ion storms. There is no shortage of tactics to come out on top. Of course, steady aim always helps even the odds.
Co-Op Missions
Team up with three other players in action-packed missions against a variety of foes. Escort convoys, take down pirates, assault star fortresses, and much more. Use your hard-earned rewards to upgrade your ship before embarking on the next mission.
PvP Ship Combat
Engage in deathmatch, station assault, and fleet combat modes against other players in explosive combat. Use a variety of weapons, equipment, and the terrain itself to out-shoot, out-maneuver, and out-play your enemies.
Physical Environment
Use the environment to your advantage. Destructible wreckage and asteroids are available for cover. Ships can ram each other for crushing damage or to push each other into the unstoppable clutches of a black hole. Missiles travel in physical arcs and can be stopped by well-aimed bursts of point defense.
Customizable Ships
Kit out your starship with modules that fundamentally change how it plays. Strap on extra armor at the cost of speed, or load up an unstable fuel injector for incredible boosting potential. Customize your ship to your playstyle, whether it be a ramming prow build focused on collision, or a hit-and-run ship that packs a punch before vanishing. Feeling limited by your ship? Swap it out altogether among the variety of frigates and cruisers - each with its own strengths and weaknesses.
