The Conglomerate is is a journey through the history and monopolistic future of the gaming/corporate industry.

Start as a starving developer in a 1980s garage, developing games by hand to survive. Evolve into a corporate CEO managing a massive MMO studio. Finally, ascend to a ruthless industrialist, replacing human workers with AI and automation to achieve the Singularity.

Three eras. Three genres. One goal: Total Monopoly.

Phase 1: The Garage (1980s)

Development Status: Complete (Refinements may come with updates)

Genre: Puzzle / Pipeline Defense

Survive the wild west of the 8-bit era. You aren't just filling progress bars; you are building the logic yourself.

  • Pipeline Coding: Connect Logic, Graphics, and Physics nodes on a 2D grid. Build efficient data pipelines while fighting off bugs and avoiding "spaghetti code."

  • The Flow State: Manage your physical needs. Drink coffee to boost coding speed, but beware the "jitters" that cause errors.

Phase 2: The Studio (1991–2010)

Development Status: Foundational (Needs refinement & balancing)

Genre: Management / City Builder

You've made your millions. Now, build your empire. Leave the garage behind for a sleek, isometric corporate office.

  • World Builder: Don't just make the game; design the map. Place quest hubs (towns), dungeons, and cities for your flagship MMORPG.

  • Server Management: Manage the physical infrastructure. Route cooling ducts and power cables to prevent your server racks from melting under player load.

  • The Banhammer: Police your community. Ban toxic players—but remember, today's banned troll might be tomorrow's rival CEO.

Phase 3: The Conglomerate (2011–Future)

Genre: Automation / Dystopian Strategy

Humans are inefficient. To dominate the global market, you must automate everything. The game shifts into a dark, neon-soaked logistics simulator.

  • The Human Pipeline: Build massive conveyor belt systems to route employees between dormitories and workstations. Optimize their output with chemical injections.

  • The Esports Rig: Own the league. Manufacture robotic players disguised as humans to crush the competition.

  • The Singularity: Research technologies to phase out human staff entirely. Achieve 100% market share and infinite efficiency.
