STORY OVERVIEW

“If you make Klodan bleed, you will drown in its blood.”

Prince Adrian of Fescilia travels north carrying trade agreements and words of peace, armed with a genuine belief in diplomacy. Dispatched as an envoy to the isolated mountain kingdom of Klodan, his mission is officially meant to heal old wounds. In reality, it is little more than an elegant exile. The southern crown seeks to bleed the venom out of an ancient rivalry, fully aware that a sixth son is a highly disposable pawn in the grand game of empires.

Klodan welcomes the envoy with brutal, nine-month winters, impenetrable gorges, and a deep-seated hostility toward their neighbors. Within the frozen halls of Castle Kraster, power is a volatile game played by the Council of Five Clans. In this unforgiving wasteland, polite smiles and royal titles offer no protection; trusting the wrong person can guarantee a quick death in a frozen forest ditch. Adrian’s only constant is Leo, his fiercely loyal protector and lifelong companion, ready to face the grim hostility of the northern lords by his side.

Yet, good intentions and a loyal guard are not enough to survive the political slaughterhouse.
