Description
A new-retro styled RPG, set in a future universe on the brink of machine singularity.
❤️🔥 A cinematic, turn-based RPG.
⚙️ Recruitable robots, Suikoden style.
💥 Story themes related to AI, futurism, cults, dystopias, and transcendence.
💥 Join Selva, a cynical luddite mercenary.
Formerly trained to hunt “rogue” robots, Selva now lives off-grid in a hedonistic exile.
Yet new events drag her back to the technocratic future she can’t quite escape.
⚙️ At her side is Jiro, a boy raised entirely within the Aethar Hives ;
Underground bomb shelters that have been transformed into AI-controlled “utopias.”
Raised by caregiver machines... Jiro's every move is micromanaged by “godlike” AGI, photoreal virtual reality, and negative-emotion-suppressing systems—along with "safety" from the volatile outside world.
Despite their opposite nature, Selva and Jiro are ultimately drawn together. A reluctant friendship that sparks widespread rebellion against encroaching AI worship.
💥 Explore a war-scorched former metropolis; Zoxxo City.
Various new neighborhoods, shortcuts, quests, & secrets appear incrementally as the story unfolds!
Colorful street vendors, machine smugglers, stem-cell harvesters, cultish luddites, and a deranged robotic carnival troupe are among dozens of NPCs you'll encounter. Inspired by Majora's Mask, they each have their own evolving schedules.
Navigate the BOUNTY system:
Players will be hunted by malevolent robots , to a greater or lesser extent, stemming from player choices!
Gain the chance to Inflict machine-specific status effects, such as SHORT-CIRCUIT** (electric stun) , and VIRUS **** (confused/berserk behavior), **to disadvantage the robot foes.
Certain characters can use HACK , forcing some robotic enemies to fight alongside the party—or even upgrade them.
Unlike human allies; once robot allies reach K/O status, they're gone forever.
Unlike Beloved Rapture, our previous title - in Robot Rhapsody, most of the game's world will be completely open from the very start of the game , encouraging greater replay value, and player-defined consequences. The sprawling world offers freedom for the player to chart their own path - yet the "main story" remains cinematic/linear.
