Description
Welcome to Crown Island , a lush outpost surrounded by open sea where the animal townsfolk have just survived an economic depression, only to face a new crisis. War has broken out, and an island still recovering from years of hardship must prepare for the fight ahead.
With her brother drafted into service and the family farm facing foreclosure, Ruth Winslow takes charge of Winslow Farms and joins the government's Victory Acres program. Now it's up to her to keep the crops growing, the supplies moving, and the farm out of the bank's hands.
Work the Land
Cultivate crops in greenhouses and fields. Plant, water, fertilize, and harvest everything from fresh vegetables to fields of grain. Keep your equipment in good shape with repairs and maximize efficiency for every stage of farming.
Handle the Harvest
Pack produce into crates, operate a crane to move heavy loads, and put your packing house machinery to work sorting and storing the harvest. Expand your grain storage with more silos and order dispatch pickups for outgoing orders.
I have needs, too!
Ruth has more to worry about than farming. Keep her fed, rested, clean, and entertained as you go about your day. Cook meals from your own produce, read books to improve your skills, listen to the radio, change outfits, or enjoy a well-earned bubble bath to scrub up after a hard day's work. Running a farm is one thing, but living on it is another.
Keep the Supplies Moving
Fulfill military requisitions and supply the island with the food it needs. Load up deliveries, earn money for your work, and decide how to invest it. With bills to pay, a mortgage hanging over the farm, and wartime demand increasing, managing your livelihood is just as important as managing your crops.
Build a Better Farm
Expand your growing operation, improve irrigation, upgrade equipment, and develop Ruth's skills in gardening, cooking, and repairs. Better tools and a little experience can make a difficult job a whole lot easier.
Life on Crown Island
Venture beyond Winslow Farms to visit the shops of Greenridge, stop by the bank, or unwind at Clara's Pub. Get to know your neighbors, lend a hand where you can, and keep up with news from an island adapting to wartime life.
When the Sirens Sound
The war is never far away. Air raid sirens can interrupt an ordinary day as peaceful skies erupt with tracer fire and bursting flak. Keep island morale high through consistent harvests to strengthen its defenses against the next raid.
And remember,
Every Harvest Counts.
