One man's junk is an open world trading game, where you start with a paperclip, and barter your way up to a car, in order to go visit your family for the Holidays which is in 30 days

Key features

  • Trade over 350 items with more than 120 NPCs

  • Discover the gossip of the town by chatting with them

  • Freely explore the vast hand-drawn town of Chislington

  • Fast travel option available, at the cost of ingame time

  • Customise how your character looks

  • Automatic saving, resume your session any time

  • Multiple ways to succeed, there's no 'correct' method

You have $0 to your name. You reach into your pocket, and your fist closes on a single paperclip. How can you possibly afford to visit your family for the upcoming Holidays? As the saying goes: “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure”, and you’re about to put that into practice.

Your mission

With limited time on the clock, you must hassle the residents of Chislington, equipped only with your charisma and intention to barter. You’ll want trade items of equivalent value, but each time, ending up with something slightly more valuable. The idea is to eventually obtain a cheap beater car from the sleazy salesman at the end of the block, so you can drive home to your family. But that despicable trader is driving a hard bargain with absolutely no sympathy, so you have a lot of swapping ahead.

On your travels

While your main goal is to trade, you’ll also have the option to talk to people and learn about the various secrets and scandals of the town, if you wish to.

Not quite a walking simulator

The village is quite large, but you have the ability to fast travel. Unfortunately, this ability costs you ingame time, and you only have 30 days before the holidays. Perhaps it’s worth looking for a more efficient method of travel in the meantime?

Optional difficulty

Ideally you want to obtain a car in 30 days, so you can be back home for the holidays. However, this goal is completely optional, and if you miss it that’s ok. Your family will be happy to see you at any point you are able to make it!
