Description
Mnemosyne is an atmospheric psychological horror and anomaly hunting game that pushes your observation skills to their limits.
You are trapped in a suffocating darkness that swallows you whole. This is an uncanny dungeon formed by stone walls, rusty pipes, and forgotten objects. You have only a flashlight providing limited visibility and a camera to record the truth.
An Endless Loop, Altering Details
You will find yourself stuck within a constantly repeating structure. While the architecture feels familiar, the details within mutate uncannily with every loop. Noticing the slightest change in your surroundings, displaced objects, or emerging oddities and successfully documenting them is the only key to breaking this cycle. Your success or failure directly influences the course of the loop and the layers you will encounter.
Observation is Your Only Escape
The darkness does not give up its secrets easily. You must rely on your memory as your flashlight cuts through the shadows. Was that mannequin there in the previous lap? Was that writing on the wall there a moment ago? Or is your mind starting to blur?
Use your camera like a weapon to detect anomalies. Capture glitches in the fabric of reality and entities that shouldn't be there. Be careful; an incorrect identification or a missed detail will cause your memory to be wiped and the nightmare to deepen.
The Horror of Silence and Paranoia
Do not fall into the illusion that you are safe in this darkness. The threat in Mnemosyne is like a poison seeping into your mind. The feeling of isolation, the echo of your own footsteps, and the hostile demeanor of the environment will wear down your nerves. As you progress, the line between what is real and your delusions will begin to blur.
