▌Story

· In early 1945 during World War II, British pilot Daniel’s plane crashed while on a mission, forcing him to make an emergency landing in the Norwegian snowfields.

· Discovered by German pilot Elena, the two were initially wary of each other due to opposing sides, yet had no choice but to team up for survival.

· As they journeyed together, they went from tentative probing to gradual confiding. The cruelty of war and longing for peace kindled a unique affection in their hearts.

· In their brief time together, they would also come to understand and explore the past hidden deep in each other’s minds...

▌Characters

· Elena：

· A 24-year-old female from Frankfurt, Germany, she was born into an affluent family combining military and wealthy business backgrounds. Raised by Daville in her childhood, she developed a passion for flying and learned English under the influence of her British Uncle Kevin.

· During her formative years, she became rebellious and withdrawn due to her father's harsh control. She secretly joined a flying club during a sensitive period against her family's wishes, yet witnessed the persecution of civilians by her own country's soldiers, gradually growing to abhor everything related to war—including herself and her father.

· In early 1945, she was shot down by Daniel, parachuted to safety, and rescued him. As they lived together, she was drawn to Daniel and yearned even more to escape the war.

· Later, to protect Daniel, she met with German troops and left Norway with her father. Eventually recognizing her true feelings, she rescued Daniel with the help of Daville and her father, making a promise to reunite after the war.

· Daniel：

· A 25-year-old female from Southampton, UK, she was born into a family running a small export business. Having lost her mother at the age of three, she grew up with her father. Bullied by classmates in her childhood for her dreams of flying and painting, she met her good friend Anna at 10—who unfortunately lost her life due to war legacies. After that, she helped her father with household chores and business matters.

· She never abandoned her flying dream and successfully obtained a pilot's license in 1939. When World War II broke out, her family's business suffered heavy losses. She first joined the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, then entered the combat ranks through special means with her gender-neutral name.

· In early 1945, she shot down Elena's FW190A-8, but her own P51 was unfortunately hit by a warship's anti-aircraft guns. She made an emergency landing on the Norwegian snowfield, injured, and was rescued by Elena. Eventually, she let go of her prejudice against Germans, stayed with Elena, and developed affectionate feelings for her.

· Daville：

· Born into a traditional farming family in the countryside of Munich, she has parents and two younger brothers.

· In her childhood, due to her parents' preference for her younger brothers, she had to take on farm work and housework. Moreover, because of the family's poverty and her rural accent, she kept to herself at school.

· At the age of 16, to ease the family's financial burden, she dropped out of school and went to Frankfurt to work as a maid in the Westberg family, responsible for taking care of the young lady, cleaning, laundry, and other tasks.

· Smart, sensible, and hardworking, she gained the appreciation of her employers. After becoming an adult, she learned to drive and was fully responsible for managing the young lady. · Anna：

· Born in London, UK, she was Daniel's close childhood friend.

· At the age of 10, she transferred to Southampton due to family changes. When Daniel was bullied by classmates, she stood up for her, affirmed her dreams of flying and painting, and the two forged a deep friendship.

· At 13, Anna gave Daniel a blank notebook, which became a precious memory for both of them.
