Microlandia is a city builder with a classic look and a deep simulation under the hood.

Build your city from nothing

Drop roads. Draw zones. Place buildings. You decide where people live, where they work and how they get around. Set up bus routes and see if anyone actually rides them. Mix homes and shops in the same building to keep things walkable. Or spread everything out and deal with the traffic. Your layout shapes everything that happens next.

Every person has a life

This is not a stats game. Every citizen is simulated one by one. They hold a job at a real company. They pay rent to a landlord who will raise it the second the neighborhood fills up. They get sick and need a hospital bed that might not be there. If they stay broke long enough, some turn to crime. None of this is random. It all comes from the choices you made.

The city talks back

A newspaper covers everything happening in your city. Crime reports with real addresses. Traffic jams you caused. Hospitals running out of beds. Companies going under. It will blame you for all of it.

And then the random events hit. A recession tanks your economy. A heatwave makes fires spread five times faster. A pandemic fills every hospital in a week.

Every number matters

You control income tax, sales tax, corporate tax, business licenses, bus fares, parking fees and more. Set any rate too high and people leave. Set it too low and you go broke. Cut the healthcare budget and citizens die on waiting lists. The simulation does not care about your feelings.

Features

  • Every citizen is individually simulated with a job, a home, a family and a bank account.

  • Companies earn money, pay workers, pay rent. Lose money for too long and they shut down.

  • The housing market is real. Landlords raise rent when demand is high. Families get evicted when they can't pay.

  • Crime comes from poverty, not from a dice roll.

  • A newspaper reports on everything. It is not shy about blaming you.

  • Random events like recessions, pandemics and heatwaves will test everything you built.

  • Bus routes actually matter. No transit means no job access.

  • NIMBY is real. Build a racetrack next to apartments and see what happens.

  • Simulation data comes from real sources like World Bank, OECD and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Built to last

We're making the most detailed city simulation we can. Updates come often with new systems and deeper simulation. There will never be a Microlandia 2. No DLC. No in-app purchases. Buy it once, get everything forever.
