marblebuilds is a creative 2D sandbox where you build marble races, contraptions, and logic-driven machines - then challenge yourself in puzzle and platformer modes, or share your creations with the community.

Design freely on an unlimited canvas, hit play, and watch marbles roll, bounce, explode, teleport, and react to the systems you've built.

Three Ways to Play

Sandbox : Build anything, no limits. Race marbles, track finish times, and experiment freely on an endless canvas.

Puzzle : Place a limited set of blocks to guide marbles to every star. Levels range from quick placements to deliberate, engineering-style thinking. Create and share your own puzzle levels, or try ones made by other players.

Platformer : Take direct control of your marbles. Collect all stars to finish the level. Switch between marbles at any time - freeze the action, pick a new marble, and continue. Use one marble as a launch pad for another.

A built-in Campaign teaches you the blocks through increasingly creative levels - no manual required.

Move Everything - Block Movers & Pistons

The full game introduces block movers and pistons that bring your entire track to life.

• Pusher / Puller : instantly slide blocks, marbles, and circuits as a unit along the grid. Everything moves together.

• Conveyor : smooth, continuous motion. Marbles ride moving platforms mid-travel. Combine two conveyors to create diagonal motion.

Circuits on moving blocks stay connected. Machines can reconfigure themselves mid-run.

Dynamic Physics & Interactions

Bring your builds to life with blocks that transform how marbles move and interact :

• Boosters, springs, bumpers, and spinners

• Gravity and antigravity blocks

• Portals (momentum-retaining)

• Breakable paths and explosive marbles

• Enlarger and Shrinker - change marble size mid-run; size filters sort marbles by size

• Blower family - circuit-toggleable area force: directional, radial, suction, and rotational variants

• Marble color filters - route marbles by color through different paths

Logic & Circuit Systems

For players who want deeper control, marblebuilds includes a digital logic system that lets marbles interact with powered blocks.

• Power wires and logic gates

• Timers, delays, and Memcells (T-flip-flops)

• Marble-triggered inputs, such as buttons and observers

• Keybind Block - press a key to send a circuit signal; create custom controls for your levels

Use circuits to open trapdoors, spawn marbles, control launchers, play music, or push entire sections of your build.

You can keep things simple - or build machines as complex as a computer. Players have already built binary adders, clocks, and sorting machines.

The Track Comes Alive - Builder Blocks

New builder blocks let your circuits change the world:

• Rotator - rotates adjacent blocks when powered; combine with a clock for continuously spinning elements

• State Cycler - advances the state of an adjacent block on each pulse

• Placer / Destroyer - creates or removes adjacent blocks when powered; enables self-modifying tracks

Break the Fourth Wall

Circuit blocks that affect the experience itself:

• Zoom Control - trigger dramatic zoom in/out mid-run

• Camera Target - redirect camera tracking to any marble on a circuit signal; create cutscene moments

• Gravity Flip - rotate the entire world's gravity; everything falls sideways

• Sim Speed - slow down or speed up the entire simulation via circuit; create bullet-time or fast-forward sequences

• Possession Transfer - force marble switching in platformer mode; design levels where control shifts deliberately
