Ever wonder why adulting feels like climbing a spiral staircase while carrying increasingly absurd amounts of stuff? Welcome to Life Balance - where that metaphor becomes a physics-based platformer, and your life choices literally weigh you down.

The Concept

You're climbing the Tower of Life - a massive spiral representing your journey upward. Each platform is a moment, each jump a decision, and each fall... well, gravity doesn't care about your accomplishments.

But here's the twist: every "good" life choice adds PHYSICAL WEIGHT to your character. Get educated? Congrats, here's a backpack. Start a career? Have a briefcase. Start a family? Here's a stroller. Now try platforming.

How it plays?

Pick your path through life's decisions. Each choice provides benefits (extra lives, better stats) but adds literal baggage. Education improves your abilities but weighs you down. Career gives you advantages but affects your balance. Family provides safety nets but changes how you move.

Navigate platforms with realistic ragdoll physics where weight actually matters. That briefcase isn't just visual - it's pulling you sideways. That stroller isn't just cute - it requires both hands. Every ounce changes how you jump, land, and balance.

Features

  • Physics Comedy - Watch your carefully planned jumps turn into ragdoll disasters as your baggage shifts mid-air

  • Speedrun Friendly - Multiple paths, optimization opportunities, and clean movement tech for the masochists

  • Variety of Obstacles - From mortgage payments to social anxiety, face life's challenges scattered throughout your climb

  • Replayability - Different builds (minimalist vs maximalist), difficulty modes, and challenge runs keep it fresh

  • Pure platforming - No upgrades, no grinding, no gimmicks. Just you, your choices, and the tower

The Solo Dev Story

Hi! I'm the solo developer behind Life Balance. This started as a joke about how getting a mortgage feels like someone literally strapping a weight to your leg, and somehow evolved into a full game.

Every system, every obstacle, every joke is designed to make you laugh while also making you think "...yeah, that's accurate". And also to make you mad of course. This is a passion project built over 4 months, and I hope it resonates with anyone who's ever felt like life is a precarious balancing act where one wrong move sends everything tumbling.

Thanks for checking it out! ❤️
