Description
KWARTIKUM is a compact puzzle adventure focused on box-based problem solving.
You guide a lone protagonist across a world, moving from level to level via a world map. Each level is self-contained and built around multiple puzzles that must be solved to collect keys and open the exit.
Core Gameplay
Box-based puzzles inspired by Sokoban, with free movement and rules that change over time
Each level contains multiple puzzles and three keys required to unlock the final door
2D physics-based pushing, combined with non-physics mechanics for varied puzzle design
Buttons, doors, and multi-step challenges that require observation and planning
Boxes behave in different ways. Some can be pushed together in groups, some are heavier and must be moved individually, and some move or float between areas, creating spatial puzzles within the level.
Progression and Items
As you progress, treasure boxes grant items that change how puzzles can be solved, such as:
Tools that pull boxes toward you
Abilities that allow objects to be repositioned in new ways
New mechanics are introduced gradually as the game progresses.
World and Structure
A world map connects multiple themed areas and unlocks gradually
Progression is mostly linear, with occasional branching paths within levels
The experience is focused and can be completed in approximately 2–3 hours
Story and Atmosphere
A light narrative provides context for the journey without interrupting play. Gameplay and puzzles remain the primary focus throughout.
Inspired by classic puzzle adventures, KWARTIKUM presents a concise experience centered on deliberate, “think before you act” puzzle solving.
