"Considered by many to be the first, (and funniest), Real-Time-Strategy video game, GENERAL CHAOS was a non-stop-action, squad-based, battle game in which players controlled up to 5 different soldiers with unique weapons and abilities. The gameplay was way ahead of its time, and the humor was in the same tongue-in-cheek style I’d used in several of my previous games: RAMPAGE , XENOPHOBE, ARCH RIVALS and PIGSKIN 621ad. The game was very well received and was one of EA's best-selling original Intellectual Properties for the Sega Genesis System the year it was released.

"Currently, GENERAL CHAOS - MAJOR SNAFU is considerably more than halfway to the finish line! This time around, its a sprite-based, multiplayer PC Game that uses an Xbox-style Game Controller &/or Keyboard & Mouse .

"ALL of the original characters are back; only more versatile, smarter and funnier. The 'Gunner', 'Chucker', 'Scorcher', 'Blaster' & 'Launcher' have already been created and implemented. In addition, several new character/weapon types, have been created, including two-fisted 'Ultimate Commandos', (double the firepower), shotgun-wielding 'Sergeants', as well as wildly over-enthusiastic 'Raw Recruits' ...who are already on patrol in places of tactical importance; giving a General a definitive 'home field advantage'.

"Generals now have much greater control over Troop Movement, too. Generals can order a single Soldier or an Entire Squad to swiftly advance straight to a specific map location. When treacherous terrain or overwhelming odds makes a frontal assault less than ideal, selected Soldiers can surreptitiously sneak along a Serpentine path to take the enemy by surprise.

"Best of all, Generals can go 'Commando' and grab any Grunt at any time to control their every move! (Because "calling the shots" is even more fun when your finger is on the trigger!) The fact that now you'll be able to give everyone their Marching Orders AND take direct control of any Grunt at any time during the Battle will make everything a little more "up close and personal" . . . and isn't that what fighting is all about?

"Grunts still follow orders blindly; but they're much smarter than before; avoiding obstacles, seeking 'cover' when available, and best of all... they can learn new skills and weapon capabilities. Between levels, Generals can use 'Attitude Adjustment' to fine tune each individual Grunt's actions; their level of aggression, their targeting priorities, or their 'Close Combat' preferences.

"As you might expect, the Levels are larger and the Environments are more interactive, and there will be plenty of new Terrain nuances just waiting to trip up the unwary. But the action is just as immediate as the original; thanks to a Dynamic Camera system that reacts, and even anticipates, the Squad's every move. Of course, we still have another few dozen levels to go...

"Although everything above has been created , and much of it has been implemented, we're not yet at a finished state. There's still months of level creation, game-play tuning, debugging, and head-to-head multiplayer play-testing ahead of us.
