IMPORTANT: The World Championship expansion is available only to players who own the base game as well as the Football Stars and Manager's Journey expansions!

In the original game and previous DLCs, you could only take part in club tournaments. Now, however, a substantial new layer of mechanics related to international competitions has been added:

• footballers now have a new characteristic - nationality;

• every four years, the World Championship takes place, featuring a qualification stage in which national teams from each continent compete for a place in the final stage, followed by the final tournament itself;

• continental championships for national teams are also held every four years between World Championships;

• once you earn enough Reputation points as a manager, national teams will begin inviting you to take charge - the higher your Reputation, the stronger the teams that will want you as their manager;

The game also introduces mechanics related to club football:

PLAYER LOANS

You can send footballers out on loan to lower leagues. Other clubs may also offer you the chance to take their young players on loan. The better you develop these players at your club, the more Glory you can earn. Clubs can loan their players to other clubs as well, not just to you.

AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SEARCH

Previously, if you wanted to buy a footballer who was not on the transfer list, you had to browse through other clubs one by one. Now you will have access to a search screen where you can select the attributes you are looking for, and the system will display all footballers who match your criteria.

THIRD CONTINENTAL TOURNAMENT

Previously, the game featured two tiers of continental competitions, analogous to the Champions League and the Europa League. Now we are adding a third-tier continental tournament, similar to the Conference League.

However, all of these tournaments use the traditional format (a group stage with groups of four teams, followed by knockout matches).

SPECTATOR MODE

You can now find any club or international tournament and schedule a match to watch. This allows you, for example, to watch every match of the World Championship or the European Cup final. Alternatively, you can play in one country while watching matches from another.

SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED CLUB MANAGEMENT AI

Previously, other clubs would gradually become weaker because they were unable to manage their squads effectively or make sound decisions about which footballers to sell and which to buy. As a result, top clubs’ youth academies used to generate young players who were significantly stronger than those available to the player’s club.

We have completely rewritten many of the AI subsystems governing other clubs. Other clubs now develop far more intelligently and do not decline after 10-20 seasons, so we have removed the artificial advantage previously granted by enhanced youth academies.

ADDITIONAL DIFFICULTY OPTIONS

Some players have fully mastered the game mechanics. They reach the Premier League relatively easily and turn their club into the best in the world in a fairly short time. Many of these players asked for the option to make the game more challenging.

For such players, we have added the following options when starting a campaign:

• Hidden opponent formations - you will not be able to see how the opponent has positioned their footballers, but you will see which players they plan to field. By understanding the game mechanics, you will be able to make well-reasoned assumptions.

• Adjustable Giftedness Strength - previously, on normal difficulty each Giftedness level increased skill potential by 1, while on high difficulty it increased by 2. This option allows you to modify that difference within a range from 1 to 5. The higher the value, the better gifted footballers will perform and the harder it will be for you to compete against stronger opponents.

• A new type of randomness: "Reduced +" - which makes more gifted footballers more effective. This option significantly reduces randomness, making matches against stronger opponents even more challenging.

FOREIGN PLAYER LIMIT

In league matches, you must now ensure that a specified minimum number of footballers from your country are included in your club. This adds a new layer of management in the higher leagues. You can also customise the limit value or disable it entirely if you prefer not to restrict yourself.
