ERF + The Year After is part of the GB Archive, a curated initiative focused on the technical preservation and distribution of homebrew games.

Experience two atmospheric narrative adventures, each using the classic handheld’s limitations to tell a deeply human story.

In The Year After, follow an invisible stranger through the life of a family facing a brutal winter. Watch seasons change, years pass, and the people around you grow older as you uncover a story about love, loss, and the moments that remain with us.

In ERF, Earth has become a tourist trap. Two strangers cross paths in a distant sci-fi future, searching for connection in a world that feels both alien and familiar. Explore colorful environments, meet its inhabitants, and discover a story told through sparse dialogue, pixel art, music, and the world itself.

Both games use exploration and environmental storytelling to let their characters and surroundings carry the narrative. Look closely to find small secrets, and experience each compact adventure from beginning to end in a single sitting.

A nostalgic experience, two full-color journeys that can also be played in vertical mode with touch controls to match the '90s feeling!
