Description
People leave traces when they go. Some leave more than that.
In Distorted – Paranormal Activities, you are commissioned to investigate an old apartment building that was quietly evacuated after a series of incidents no official report has satisfactorily explained. Your assignment is straightforward: visit each day, walk the floors, check the units, and determine whether what is happening inside is genuinely supernatural.
The building receives you with the particular stillness of a place that used to be full of life. Doormats still outside flats. A child's drawing taped to a hallway wall. Furniture left exactly as it stood on the last morning people were here.
But something lingers. A door left open that was closed. A name scratched into a wall that doesn't match any resident record. A figure standing at the far end of a corridor that isn't there when you reach it.
Each day follows the same procedure: Move through the building, observe what has changed, and trust what you remember. If something unnatural has occurred, you must place a cleansing marker in the building's old boiler room before leaving. If the day seems undisturbed, you return home and come back tomorrow.
But your judgment matters. Leave a marker on a quiet day, or leave without one when something was truly there — and the investigation starts to collapse.
Scattered across the building are letters never sent, personal diaries left in drawers, and notes slipped under doors that were never answered. Piece by piece, they reconstruct the lives of the people who lived here — and trace the thread of something that moved between them, floor by floor, long before anyone thought to call it supernatural.
The building does not present itself the same way twice. Layouts shift. Apartments change. The presence that watches you from doorways grows less concerned with staying out of sight.
Something here has been waiting for a tenant who will finally pay attention.
