Description
You're a cameraman, filming dead bodies and unseen horrors from the past, and instantly changing what the Death Counter watches in the future.
YOU PLAY AS A CAMERAMAN
The main character isn't the player—it's the Death Counter (you'll see her hand counting most of the time). Your goal as the player is to influence her by showing what you're filming. You are a cameraman from the past, trying to influence someone in the future.
ATMOSPHERE
A dark merge of two art styles, periods, and settings. One captured in haunting films of forbidden labs, the other a shadowy office where Death Counters view them. Spirits sealed in the footage break into the office, moving from past to present, altering objects and unsettling players with paranormal activities.
STORY
In 1963, the CIA began rating its archived classified footage based on the deaths captured on them. Each rating process had to be documented on camera by an assigned agent, whom they later called a "Death Counter."
Four 8mm films, shot by unnamed operatives between 1939 and 1959, were prepared for evaluation. This game is the complete process, as recorded by the Death Counters tasked with evaluating those haunting footage.
GAMEPLAY
You play as unnamed operatives from the past, tasked with filming the insides of secret laboratories worldwide between 1939 and 1959.
A Death Counter watches your footage in real-time and reacts based on what you show her on the screen.
Your goal is to capture as many deaths as possible on film, ensuring the Death Counter sees them by filming corpses, unseen horrors, and beyond, to maximize her recorded death count.
