THE HUNT STARTS LONG BEFORE THE SHOT

BULT is a hunting simulator where the shot is just one part of the hunt. The game is made by hunters, and its mechanics and details are grounded in knowledge gathered during real hunts across Yakutia.

Good aim isn't enough here. Choose your spot, set up your blind, place your decoys and pick the right call. Watch the wind, the weather, the time of day and your visibility. A flock may come straight in, change direction or turn away. It all comes down to your preparation and what is happening around you.

BIRDS, NOT TARGETS

Bird behavior in BULT is driven by Bayanay AI, named after Bayanay, the Yakut spirit of the forest and protector of hunters.

Birds do not follow a fixed route. Flocks search for food, change direction and react to the weather, the time of day and the hunter's actions. Watch them and learn when to wait, change position or stop calling.

Watch. Listen. Adapt.

BLINDS, DECOYS AND CALLS

Choose your shotgun and ammunition, camo, boat and other gear. Find the right spot, conceal yourself in a blind and place your decoys to guide the flock toward your shooting position. A call can bring birds in, but it cannot replace good preparation.

Good preparation can matter more than fast reflexes.

LISTEN TO THE WILDS

The bird calls in BULT were recorded by the developers during their own hunts rather than taken from a sound library. They do more than build atmosphere. By ear, you can tell where a bird is coming from and how far away it is before you see it.

Remember: birds can hear you too. One loud step can give away your position before the flock comes into view.

A WOUNDED BIRD WON'T WAIT

Range , ammunition and timing all affect the shot. Misjudge the distance or fire at the wrong moment and you may miss or only wound the bird. A wounded bird can hide in the reeds or swim away. Move quickly before you lose it.

THE WILDS OF YAKUTIA, SIBERIA

Misty marshes, lake shores and hunting grounds inspired by the wilderness of Yakutia. Weather and light change during the hunt, bringing new conditions for visibility, bird behavior and shooting.

You have to account for everything here, even mosquitoes. Forget the bug spray and their whine will soon drown out the birds.

NOT EVERY BIRD IS FAIR GAME

Some species are protected. Learn to identify birds before you pull the trigger: shooting a protected species will damage your hunter reputation.
