Overview
Bad Elevator is a 1–4 player cooperative Christmas-themed horror game. You and your friends play as elves trying to deliver a gift to a child waiting on the top floor of a corporate office building.
The elevator is broken. It only moves up one floor at a time, and each floor requires you to find the missing button needed to continue. The building is dark, quiet, and filled with something that shouldn’t be there.
Search every room, avoid the creature hunting you, and work together to reach the top before your team is wiped out.
Core Gameplay
Bad Elevator is built around simple but tense co-op horror mechanics:
Each floor is either a monster floor or a minigame floor
The monster floors revolve around finding the missing elevator button
The button must be carried back to the elevator to move upward
Enemy behavior, lighting, and layout create unpredictable tension
The minigame floors offer breaks from the horror, whether through parkour, trivia, or other random events
Players communicate using proximity voice chat
If the creature catches you, you die instantly in dramatic ragdoll fashion
Surviving players can continue upward until the run ends
Every floor is handcrafted, but the combination of player choices, enemy behavior, and limited visibility makes every run different.

Tone and Style
Bad Elevator blends cheerful holiday visuals with unsettling atmosphere and sudden danger. Bright Christmas colors, elves, and decorations contrast with a dark building full of flickering lights, tight spaces, and an unpredictable hunter. The tone is lighthearted in concept but tense in execution, making it ideal for group gameplay and reactions.
