Early Access Game

AUDION is an abstract, single-player arcade-style VR game focused on “spatial strategy” and fast-paced, physical gameplay. Think Asteroids meets Rez meets Geometry Wars in 3D. We're currently in Early Access and pretty early-on in development. We're looking for passionate players to help give us feedback so we can improve, tune, debug, and upgrade the game to be as fun as possible.

The game currently features 4 frenetic levels of increasing difficulty and complexity, and a powerup load-out feature for strategic gameplay combinations and replayability.

AUDION is currently Early Access and we're hosting this public beta to get some feedback from real players. We're hoping your input will help us improve the core game mechanics and the overall gameplay experience. Please join our Discord server to leave feedback, ask questions, log bugs.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Immersive, first-person, physical gameplay

  • Focus on spatial awareness and strategy

  • Experiment with Reactor combos (powerups) to maximize impact in each level

  • Abstract geometric aesthetic with lots of audio-reactive graphics

  • Menus and tutorial localized into Japanese

  • Electrifying soundtrack by Symbion Project that builds as you play

DESIGN OVERVIEW:

  • No guns: Player bond, attract and repel Ions, which are dangerous musical objects floating in space. The goal is to split them into smaller and smaller Ions to clear the level.

  • Skills: Audion builds targeting accuracy and spatial strategy skills, but without the guns.

  • Arcade: Levels ramp to frenetic levels quickly, keeping the exciting gameplay on a tight loop.

  • Physicality: Using the physicality of VR, players grab, pull, swing, smash, deflect and rip Ions. Not a game for sitting down!

  • Impact: Unlockable powerups have major impact on each play-through, combining to create powerful game events with fun, explosive visuals.
