Ad Astra Infinita: The New Evolution is a goofy, sanboxy JRPG focused on mechanical exploration and light environmental storytelling.

This is my first major game, and I want as many people to play it as possible; therefore, I've made it free! Please leave a review if you played the game and let me know your thoughts. I'm planning to keep updating the game in response to feedback through 2026.

Included:

  • 10-20 hours of gameplay across seven to nine regions in the game world

  • 20+ boss battles, about half of which are optional, some of which are challenging and/or have been tested, none of which have abilities the player can't get access to, but all of which drop cool stuff

  • 150+ Mutagenes to equip to your party, including a sizeable number of unique effects, like draining health or poisoning the enemy with certain attacks, gaining resources when reduced below half HP, or becoming an energy being whose physical attacks deal Radiant damage

  • 150+ skills to use in battle

  • Convenience features - you can gain the ability to turn off random encounters, fast travel, trigger desired enemy encounters, and even teleport through walls on a map

  • A fair amount of silly dialogue and environmental interactions, such as increasing or decreasing the number of corpses in a facility, going bowling, and quiz questions

  • 50+ pieces of original music, including some that could be called headbangable slabs of riffage

  • A manual, accessible from within the game at the player's behest, with detailed explanations of how equipment, skills and enemies work

Not included:

  • Original art

  • Cinematic cutscenes

  • Meticulously balanced gameplay

  • Base building

  • Highly detailed maps

  • A consistent mood/atmosphere

  • Dating/Waifus/Husbandos

State of the Game(As of Dec 2, 2025):

The game is mostly done, but will likely be receiving one more update with extra content, particularly aimed at making certain interesting mutagenes available earlier in the game.
