Description
Absolute Tenebra is a third-person survival horror focused on exploration , puzzle-solving , light-based mechanics , and stealth. The game is set in the decaying halls of the Wardheim Museum, a place where art, obsession, and the supernatural merged into something alive. You play as Eleanor, a mysterious woman with an unknown past, trapped in a labyrinth of forgotten halls and whispering shadows, where the only way out is through the darkness itself. Your goal is to explore the areas of the game, manage your inventory, solve environmental puzzles, and avoid horrific creatures to find a way to escape.
GAME OVERVIEW
Absolute Tenebra includes:
A self-contained underground section of the museum filled with archives, storage rooms, and hidden corridors. In this first chapter, more than 5 areas are available organized in semi-linear labyrinth to explore.
Environmental puzzles involving electricity, object manipulation, and observation of artworks and relics. This will be the core loop of the game.
Resource and inventory management: batteries, keys, special items, and light sources. Avoid wasting inventory space by carrying too much, and avoid being underprepared by carrying too little.
Stealth encounters with twisted creatures, in the style of a pure survival horror experience. Fighting isn’t really an option, stealth is your first line of defence, with rarely a second one being available.
Story segments, notes, and objects that reveal Eleanor’s past and the origins of the Tenebra.
Exploration
Part of the core gameplay revolves around exploring the environments. Sometimes you have to interact with objects that block your path, find keys to open doors and drawers, and carefully search the room for useful notes and items.
The inspection system allows you to closely examine the objects you find to gather more clues or hints.
Light-Based Survival
Mastering the use of light is a key part of Absolute Tenebra. Your main item will be The Panopticon, a lantern capable of holding back the Tenebra. This lantern can reveal paths and deter enemies but its energy drains quickly, forcing you to choose when to illuminate your surroundings and when to move in darkness.
Environmental Puzzles
Restore power, connect circuits, activate levers and uncover hidden pathways. Every room is part of a larger design, and clues are embedded in the museum’s history and artworks.
Limited Inventory & Resource Management
Conserve batteries, manage key items, and discover relics that unlock new areas or reveal fragments of Eleanor’s past.
Stealth-Driven Encounters
Confrontation is rarely an option. Monsters roaming halls and coridors react to light and sound. You must avoid them, hide, or outsmart them to survive.

A visual style inspired by 1920s surrealism, expressionist cinema, and the unsettling visions of Lovecraft and Lynch. Absolute Tenebra creates a world where silence, composition, and contrast are part of the terror itself. Every frame is designed to feel like a painting, one that’s still wet… and still breathing.
